Formed in 2003, our aim is to preserve, repair and restore the fabric of our ancient Parish Church – Saints Cosmas & Damian. As the church is over 700 years old, if we want it to last, and to continue to serve our community, we need to raise funds for some essential repairs. We must ensure the fabric of the building, as well as the interior murals do not deteriorate. Grants have been, and currently are painstakingly applied for, however these charitable grants are seldom given without evidence of members’ participation in fund raising - see our calendar below, and join us at our various events.
MEMBERSHIP OF THE FRIENDS is open to ANYONE who is concerned for the future of the building of our church. Annual family membership £20 and annual individual members £10. Why not email avrobond@tiscali.co.uk (Avril Bond) for a membership form?
